VNX for File启用FC端口时提示“Error 14: The Block Enabler is not present”

故障现象:

输入以下命令时，有如下报错：

# /nas/sbin/nas_hw_upgrade -option -enable -mpfsis | -mpfsfc  |  -clariionfc  |  -clariionis  | -fc_option -enable

Checking if running on primary CS...yes

Checking if running as root...yes

Checking for integrated system...yes

Checking if model is supported...yes

Checking if backend is supported...yes

Checking if BlockEnabler is installed...no

Error 14: The Block Enabler is not present, it is required for this upgrade to proceed.

输入以下命令查看，发现该系统为纯File

# /nas/sbin/model -option -list

OPTION ENABLED: NOT AVAILABLE  -->说明是File Only

原因分析:

VNX File Only 不能添加FC启用标志，也不能用“nas_hw_upgrade”命令添加任何硬件升级标志，必须从File Only升级到Unified才可以。

解决方案:

使用USM导入Unified的NDU License或是通过命令行导入Enabler，将File Only升级成Unified即可。

例如：

# /nasmcd/sbin/navicli –h   ndu –messner –install -UnisphereBlock
